In 2008, the National Centre on Personal Autonomy and Technical Aids (CEAPAT) will be in charge of the Secretary of EDeAN, the European Design for All e-Accessibility Network.
EDeAN is a network of over 160 organisations in European Union member states, born with the objetive to share and create knowledge and experiences on Design for all and Accessibility to the Information Society.
Among other activities, CEAPAT is organising the European EDeAN conference, that will be held on León (Spain ), on 12 - 13 of June, 2008.
This conference, with the title "Training in Design for all: Innovative Experiences", is an opportunity to exchange information regarding new training experiences and advances on the concept of Design for All. Specific sessions on users' experiences, good practices, programmes and polices related with training developed in Europe have been included in the conference programme.
Speakers are professionals working in the industry, universities, gubernmental and European institutions - European Commission and the Council of Europe - (see attached programme).
Direct translation Spanish-English will be offered, as well as Sign Language Interpreters. The conference will be held on León ( Spain), in the Parador San Marcos hotel, located in the historical city centre.
Participation is free and, due to limit capacity, participation will be accepted following the reception of the attached form.
